Luis Miguel Garcia, First Flute of the OCS, he began his musical education at the ‘Jesús de Monasterio’ Conservatory, in Santander (Spain), with highest qualification in all areas having finished with the Extraordinary Prize for Transverse Flute.
He continued his education in Holland at the Royal Conservatory, in The Hague, in order to perfect his studies with Emile Biessen, Andras Adorjan and M. Adorjan Henkel, obtaining the highest qualifications as soloist and teacher.
He was taught by many prominent figures, such as William Bennet, Trevor Wye, Peter Lucas Graff, Robert Dick, Aurele Nicolette, Jean-Claude Gerand, Janos Balint, Jaques Zoon, Patrícia Morris, Jorge Caryevski (teacher at the Zwolle Conservatory, in Holland) Jo Hagen (1st Flute at the Rotterdam Philharmonic, in Holland), Marieke Scheemann (1st Flute at the Rotterdam Philharmonic, in Holland), Jaime Martín (1st Flute at the London St. Martin-in-the-Fields).
He was awarded the Santander Youth Musicians silver medal, and was a member of many orchestras, such as: the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, the International Orchestra of Holland, the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra of the World, the Royal Conservatory Orchestra of The Hague, The Hague Resident Orchestra, the Grand Canary Philharmonic, the Het Gelders Orchestra - “Arnhem Philharmonic” and the Symphonic Orchestra of The Hague. Recents performances include his participation in Ballet Romeo i Julieta with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Extremadura, in 2006, at the Real Ballet Convent Garden. In 2007, he performed with the Orquesta Real Sinfónica de Sevilla.
