The Orquestra do Algarve (OA) and Direcção Regional de Cultura do Algarve (Algarve Cultural Department) are taking music to historical monuments throughout the region. Classical music will echo throughout some of the most emblematic places that comprise the Algarve\'s historical heritage, in \'café concert\' style.
Culture and history will join together at these concerts, in search of a perfect symbiosis. Hereunder is a journey regarding each monument, followed by the times when the chamber music groups will offer a selection of repertoires to the audiences.
This \"Music in the Monuments\" cycle is co-produced by the OA and Direcção Regional de Cultura do Algarve and sponsored by the firm STAP - Reparação, Consolidação e Modificação de Estruturas, SA.

STAP SUPPORTS “MUSIC IN THE MONUMENTS” CYCLE
STAP was established in 1980 with the sole purpose of restoring old buildings and structures, by providing a range of services aimed at repairing, reinforcing, consolidating and modifying them. Due to the importance of the technological area of these services, the company set up a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9000 standards, as from 1999.
STAP does not carry out new building work. Its attention is fully focused on existing buildings that it regenerates and makes suitable for their users to maintain serviceable for more time in the future. In this way, STAP contributes towards better financial benefits that can be obtained from buildings and infrastructure of significant value that already exist. In addition, the company contributes towards avoiding the need to construct so many new buildings, thus protecting the environment, since construction is one of the industries that have the greatest adverse impact on Portugal\'s natural heritage and scenery.
The company has now made a name for itself in view of its technical capabilities, grounded on a team of highly qualified staff and their ability to innovate. This results in a continuous search for more efficient and economical solutions for the problems that arise in their field of activity.
