2. Privacy policy

The Algarve Musical Association (hereafter AMA), the entity in charge of the management of the Orchestra of the Algarve, is a non-profit private cultural and artistic association with its headquarters at Rua João Brito Vargas, Casa das Figuras, 8005-145 Faro.

The Privacy and Cookies Policy governs the treatment of the personal data of its holders, hereinafter referred to as Users, collected in connection with the use of this website.

The provision of personal data during navigation on the website implies the express knowledge and acceptance of the conditions contained in the Privacy Policy.

2.1 Type of personal data and consent:

Personal data is any information, of whatever nature and whatever its medium, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject). An identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to other factors specific to its physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

Personal data is processed on the basis of the consent of the data subject concerned or other legitimate basis laid down by law, which must be expressed - in writing, orally or by validating an option - and given freely, informed, specifically and unequivocally.

However, access to and navigation of this website in general does not necessarily imply the provision of personal data. In fact, the User may:

i) Navigate freely on the websites and visualise the available contents;

ii) Freely subscribe to the AMA newsletter through the website, being requested: first and last name, e-mail address and communication preferences, with the possibility of being asked for other non-mandatory data.

However, the use of certain functionalities of the website presupposes the creation of an account and/or the provision of a set of personal data. In these cases, it will only be possible to use the functionalities, products and services in question if you provide the personal data requested.

AMA collects and processes the personal data necessary for the purposes of processing defined in advance.

2.2 Purpose for which data is obtained: The data obtained is intended to enable the dissemination of information on AMA activities and programming.

2.3 Rights of the personal data subjects: The User may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, withdraw consent, request limitation of the processing of their personal data, as well as the right to data portability.

To exercise these rights, you must send an e-mail to info@orquestradoalgarve.com indicating your full name and the right you wish to exercise.

If you consider that there has been any infringement of your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the National Commission for Data Protection.


2.4 Data retention periods

The personal data collected is treated in strict compliance with the applicable legislation, and is stored in specific databases created for this purpose.

The period of time for which data is stored and retained varies according to the purpose for which the information is used. There are, however, legal requirements that oblige data to be kept for a certain period of time. Thus, and whenever there is no specific legal requirement, the data will be stored and conserved only for the period strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

Where processing is carried out on the basis of your consent, the data will be kept for that purpose for as long as you do not withdraw it.

After the expiry of the storage period, AMA shall delete the data where they are no longer to be kept for any other purpose which may remain.

2.5 The person responsible for processing the Users' personal data

The entity responsible for collecting and processing the personal data is AMA - Algarve Musical Association, with head office at Rua João Brito Vargas, Casa das Figuras, 8005-145 Faro, and may process the data directly and/or through subcontracted entities.

For all due purposes, in particular those laid down in Community regulations and applicable national law, any rights to be exercised vis-à-vis the Controller should be addressed to the Executive Director of AMA who can be reached through the e-mail address info@orquestradoalgarve.com.

 

2.6 Transfer to third parties and communication of personal data

Personal data may only be communicated to third parties when required by law or when requested by police or judicial authorities, in compliance with legal obligations, or in situations where the data subject gives his or her express consent.

However, AMA may transmit your data to subcontracted entities for the aforementioned purpose, under the terms of the contracts entered into with them, in accordance with applicable legislation, endeavouring to ensure that the subcontractors respect and protect the user's personal data.

AMA may communicate your data to third parties who are partners, sponsors or other entities with whom AMA establishes comparable relationships.

2.7 Cookies

AMA uses its own and third-party cookies to collect and store information, whereby a cookie is understood to be a text file that is automatically stored in users' internet browsers (web browsers) when they access certain websites. The cookie enables AMA and third party entities to identify the internet browser (web browser) on the server, making it possible to store information in order to improve the user experience, as well as to analyse and review the performance of the website.

Cookies can be:

i) Session: those that expire automatically when you close your Internet browser;

ii) Persistent: those that remain in your internet browser until their expiry date, or until they are deleted. Expiry dates vary per cookie, with some expiring after a few minutes, while others only after several years.

Cookies and other immediate tracking technologies do not collect personal data about you except where you voluntarily provide such information by completing your registration on the website or by sending communications. These technologies may be used to obtain further information regarding your use of the website.

Each User is assigned an individual cookie, thus guaranteeing data privacy and security. The presentation of statistical data is made in an aggregate form and not individual, not allowing the identification of the User. In this way, it is possible to evaluate the performance of the website, with a view to constant updating and improvement, in order to meet the User's tastes and needs.

2.8 Security

AMA guarantees the privacy and security in the transmission of User data, using all the technical means at its disposal to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and misappropriation of the personal data provided or transmitted. In any case, it should be noted that as the data circulates in an open internet network, it is not possible to totally eliminate the risk of unauthorised access and use, so that the User should implement adequate security measures when navigating the websites.

2.9. Changes to the Terms of Processing of Personal Data

AMA reserves the right, at any time, to make modifications or updates to this Privacy Policy, which will be duly updated on our Platforms. We suggest that you consult them regularly to be aware of any changes
